Sean presents to the UT Composition studio

Corey Cunningham talks to visiting composer Sean Shepherd, who is in residence this week at UT. The UT New Music Ensemble will be playing two of his works tonight at 7:30, Lumens and Octet. Corey and Sean talk about Lumens and Octet; as well as get into a lively discussion about community outreach as a “composer in residence,” why a “composer in residence” is an important thing, and what a “composer in residence” is actually supposed to do. We had a really great time hanging out with Sean these past few days and we hope you enjoy getting to know this good guy and his successful music!

Original air date: Monday September 30th, 2013 on Nuts and Bolts Music on KVRX in Austin.

Music featured: Dust – Sean Shepherd
