Joel Love’s “Lightscape” in the James Turrell Skyspace

UT graduate composer Joel Love talks about the premiere of his new work, “Lightscape,” commissioned for the unveiling of the University of Texas’s new James Turrell skyspace, The Color Inside. Lightscape was played multiple times last week inside of the skyspace. Along with cohost Franklin Piland, we talk about what it means to create art to complement particular buildings, and the parallels between music and architecture.
